經工業試驗,此新型實用技術有效防止了高溫熱風對導風牆頂部異型磚的衝刷,其砌築方法、出風口、頂部15號異型磚等的重新設計改造,以及改造後對其他配套設備的適應性改造等,大大提高了豎爐球團礦產量,豎爐利用係數從原來的6.5t/m2.h左右上升到了7.8t/m2.h左右。
